Madrid Hosts a Humanitarian
Cry to Commemorate Over 18,000 Child Martyrs from Gaza

Callao Square in the heart of Spain’s
capital, Madrid, was transformed into a space of moving human solidarity with
the children of Gaza. Teachers and activists organized a 12-hour
continuous event dedicated to reading aloud the names of Palestinian children
who were martyred over the past two years.

On a designated platform, participants
recited the names of 18,500 children aloud, repeating the
word “killed” after each name, highlighting the tragic fate that
befell these innocent lives. They also held up photographs of the martyred
children in front of the audience, ensuring their suffering remained present in
the collective memory.

According to data from the Gaza Government
Media Office, children, women, and the elderly made up more than 65% of the
victims of the Israeli aggression, with over 18,000 children and 12,400
women killed. More than 2,180 Palestinian families were completely
wiped out, in addition to thousands of families from which only a single member
survived.

This humanitarian event in Madrid served as
a global outcry against genocide and a message of solidarity with the victims,
who have become names to be read aloud so they remain present in human
conscience.
