Tunisian activists
\norganized a sit-in on Saturday evening in the center of the capital, Tunis, in
\nsupport of the Gaza Strip amid the ongoing bombardment, genocide, and siege
\nimposed by the Zionist occupation, and the deprivation of the Palestinian
\npeople in the enclave from celebrating Eid al-Adha and performing the Hajj
\npilgrimage<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The sit-in, called
\nfor by the \u201cFriends of Palestine\u201d Association in Tunisia (independent), was
\nheld under the slogan: \u201cAngry for Gaza.. Bombardment, Siege, and an Eid Without
\nSacrifices,\u201d with the participation of dozens of activists in front of the Municipal
\nTheatre in the capital, according to an Anadolu correspondent<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

On the sidelines of
\nthe sit-in, the Vice President of the \u201cFriends of Palestine\u201d Association, Reda
\nDabbabi, said that the gathering aims to condemn the ongoing bombardment,
\ngenocide, and siege imposed by the Zionist occupation, which coincided with the
\ndays of Eid al-Adha<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Dabbabi added: \u201cWe
\ncondemn the new genocide that Gaza has been subjected to and the restrictions,
\nand the bloodshed of Gazans and their children who were martyred over the past
\nthree days<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He expressed his
\nregret over \u201can Eid passing without sacrifices, and the continued deprivation
\nof Gazans from performing the Hajj pilgrimage for the third consecutive year,
\nthe absence of sacrificial offerings, and the transformation of Eid joy into
\nsuffering and genocide<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Dabbabi stressed
\nthat \u201cfor the third consecutive season since the beginning of the genocidal war
\n(October 2023), there is no Eid, no Hajj, and no sacrifices in Gaza<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He also condemned
\ntalk about seizing 70 percent of the Gaza Strip, saying this would mean a new,
\nsystematic, and silent displacement, which he described as a major catastrophe<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier on Saturday,
\nthe Ministry of Health in Gaza announced in a statement the killing of 7
\nPalestinian martyrs over the past 48 hours, bringing the total death toll from
\nthe genocide committed by the Zionist occupation since October 2023 to 72,938
\nmartyrs<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The ministry added
\nthat the toll of Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement announced on
\nOctober 10, 2025, has risen to \u201c929 martyrs and 2,811 injured,\u201d in addition to
\n781 recovery cases<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

On October 8, 2023,
\nthe Zionist occupation launched a war on the Gaza Strip that lasted two years,
\nleaving widespread destruction in infrastructure and an unprecedented
\nhumanitarian crisis alongside tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
