The Islamic
\nUniversity in Bangladesh has announced the appointment of Dr. Muhammad Abdul
\nRahman Al-Anwari, a member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars and
\nprofessor in the Department of Da\u2018wah and Islamic Studies, as Dean of the
\nFaculty of Islamic Studies and Comparative Religions for a two-year term
\nstarting from May 11, 2026<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Al-Anwari is
\nregarded as one of the most prominent academics specializing in the fields of
\nDa\u2018wah and Islamic studies. He is known for his distinguished scholarly and
\nintellectual contributions both inside and outside the university, which has
\nled to his appointment receiving wide acclaim in academic and scholarly circles<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The appointment
\nceremony was attended by a number of prominent academic and administrative
\nfigures, led by the Vice-Chancellor of the university and former dean,
\nProfessor Dr. Naqeeb Muhammad Nasrullah, as guest of honor, along with the
\nAssistant Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. M. Yaqoub Ali<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The event was also
\nattended by the Member of Parliament for Kushtia-3 constituency and former
\nuniversity graduate, Maulana Amir Hamza, in addition to several current and
\nformer deans, university professors, and senior officials<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Speakers at the
\nceremony praised Dr. Al-Anwari\u2019s academic and administrative competence,
\nexpressing their hope that the faculty would witness a new phase of academic
\ndevelopment and research excellence under his leadership, further strengthening
\nits position in the fields of Islamic studies and comparative religions at both
\nlocal and international levels<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In the same context,
\nboth the President and the Secretary-General of the International Union of
\nMuslim Scholars sent congratulatory messages to Dr. Al-Anwari, expressing their
\nsincere congratulations on this academic trust, and wishing him success in his
\nnew responsibilities, hoping that his efforts will contribute to advancing
\nIslamic studies and enhancing the academic progress of the faculty<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
