Qatar Launches \u201cProphetic Legacy\u201d International Hadith

The
\nMinistry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in Qatar has launched the first
\nedition of the international \u201cProphetic Legacy\u201d competition for the
\nmemorization of the Prophet\u2019s Hadith, in a step aimed at strengthening
\nadherence to the Prophetic Sunnah and promoting its values among youth
\nworldwide.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

During a
\npress conference held today, the Ministry affirmed that the launch of the
\ncompetition comes as part of its ongoing efforts to serve the Prophetic Sunnah
\nand instill love for the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad \ufdfa<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\nin the hearts of younger generations. This aligns with its vision of caring for
\nthe Holy Qur\u2019an and the Sunnah, and supporting educational and scholarly
\ninitiatives that contribute to building a generation aware of the objectives
\nand values of Islam.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Global
\nExpansion of Qatari Initiatives<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nMinistry explained that the competition is an extension of the local \u201cYoung
\nMuhaddith\u201d initiative, expanded this year to include participants from around
\nthe world, thereby enhancing the global presence of Qatari initiatives in
\nserving the Prophetic Sunnah.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\ncompetition falls within the strategy of the Department of Da\u2019wah and Religious
\nGuidance, which aims to revive the Sunnah, encourage the memorization,
\nunderstanding, and application of Hadith, and reinforce Islamic moral values.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Educational
\nVision<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\ncompetition aims to spread the Sunnah and encourage adherence to it through
\nmemorization, understanding its meanings, and applying its teachings. It also
\nseeks to discover talents in Hadith sciences and build a balanced generation
\naware of the objectives of Islamic Sharia.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\ncompetition is divided into two main levels: Gold and Silver, and includes two
\ncategories\u2014one focusing on memorizing the book \u201cAl-Muntaqa fi Al-Ahkam
\nAl-Shar\u2018iyyah\u201d, and the other on memorizing \u201cRiyadh Al-Salihin\u201d by Imam
\nAl-Nawawi.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Prizes
\nand Competition Stages<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nMinistry has allocated major financial prizes, with the first-place winner in
\nthe first category receiving QAR 200,000, with prizes distributed down to tenth
\nplace. In the second category, prizes reach up to QAR 120,000 for first place.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\ncompetition consists of two stages: preliminary rounds conducted remotely via
\nvideo communication, followed by the qualification of top contestants to the
\nfinal in-person stage in Qatar, where winners will be ranked before a public
\njudging panel.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A Global
\nPlatform<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Mr.
\nJassim bin Abdullah Al Ali, Director of the Department of Da\u2019wah and Religious
\nGuidance, stated that the competition represents a global platform to
\nstrengthen youth engagement with the Prophetic Sunnah and reflects Qatar\u2019s
\ncommitment to religious and scholarly initiatives that promote moderation and
\nbalance.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

He noted
\nthat the name \u201cProphetic Legacy\u201d is derived from the saying of the Prophet \ufdfa<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>: \u201cScholars are the heirs of the prophets,\u201d
\nreflecting the competition\u2019s mission to prepare a generation that carries this
\nlegacy in knowledge, practice, and conduct.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nMinistry invited those interested from around the world to register through the
\nofficial website between September 1 and October 31.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
