The 35th edition of the Doha International Book Fair
\nis set to open on Thursday, May 14, organized by Qatar\u2019s Ministry of Culture
\nfor a period of ten days at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. The
\nevent will witness broad participation from 36 countries and 515 publishing
\nhouses and cultural institutions, distributed across 910 pavilions, in addition
\nto the participation of several ministries and official and cultural
\norganizations.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The International Union of Muslim Scholars is
\nparticipating in the 35th edition of the exhibition through its pavilion No.
\nH2-33, in a presence that reflects its continued commitment to engaging in
\nmajor cultural and intellectual events and strengthening its role within the
\nArab and Islamic knowledge landscape.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Scientific and Intellectual
\nPublications<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Union\u2019s pavilion features a diverse collection of
\nbooks and scholarly publications issued by the Union, alongside works authored
\nby a number of its members, scholars, and researchers. The publications cover a
\nwide range of topics, including Islamic thought, jurisprudence, Islamic
\noutreach, education, issues concerning the Muslim Ummah, and contemporary
\nintellectual discourse, offering visitors rich and diverse knowledge content
\nthat combines authenticity with modernity.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Renewed Cultural Presence<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The Union\u2019s participation for the second consecutive
\nyear underscores the importance of books and their role in building awareness
\nand spreading knowledge, particularly amid the fair\u2019s strong public and
\ncultural attendance at both the Gulf and Arab levels.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

According to the organizers, the 35th edition
\nrepresents a cultural and civilizational message affirming the State of Qatar\u2019s
\ncommitment to knowledge and culture, while further consolidating Doha\u2019s
\nposition as an active cultural beacon in the region despite various challenges
\nand exceptional circumstances.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s exhibition also features a diverse
\ncultural program that includes seminars, lectures, and workshops, in addition
\nto broad Arab and international participation from publishing houses,
\nembassies, and various cultural institutions.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Doha International Book Fair is considered one of
\nthe oldest and most prominent book fairs in the region. First launched in 1972,
\nit has, over the decades, established itself as one of the leading cultural
\nevents in the Gulf and Arab world.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
