Iraq: Conclusion of \u201cBay\u2018at al-Ridwan\u201d

The Council of Iraqi Scholars has concluded the
\nactivities of the \u201cBay\u2018at al-Ridwan Campaign,\u201d which was part of a religious
\nand faith-based program that ran from 1 Dhu al-Qa\u2018dah 1447 AH, corresponding to
\nApril 16, 2026, commemorating the blessed Pledge of Ridwan that took place in
\nthe sixth year of the Hijrah of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. The
\ncampaign witnessed wide participation and engagement across several Iraqi
\nprovinces.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The campaign was implemented following approval from
\nthe Islamic Guidance Department at the Sunni Endowment Office, with the
\nparticipation of a number of scholars, preachers, students of religious
\nknowledge, and social, academic, and da\u2018wah figures in Iraq.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The activities included the holding of more than
\nthirty listening sessions for the book \u201cAl-Arba\u2018in Al-Ridwaniyah\u201d in various
\nmosques across Iraq, in addition to unified Friday sermons delivered in more
\nthan five hundred mosques throughout the provinces. These sermons addressed the
\nmeanings of the Pledge of Ridwan and the virtues of the noble Companions, may
\nAllah be pleased with them.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The campaign also featured seminars, awareness
\nlectures, media programs, and social media outreach initiatives.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Closing Ceremony and
\nHonoring Event in Baghdad<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The activities concluded with a central ceremony held
\nat Al-Haqq Al-Mubeen Mosque in the capital, Baghdad, attended by a number of
\nscholars, preachers, and social figures. During the event, several contributors
\nand participants in the success of the campaign were honored, including Sheikh
\nDr. Diyaa Al-Rawi and Sheikh Dr. Ismaeel Abdul Abbas Al-Jumaili, imams of
\nAl-Haqq Al-Mubeen Mosque, in recognition of their efforts in organizing the
\nclosing ceremony.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In a speech delivered during the event, Sheikh Dr.
\nMahmoud Abdul Aziz Al-Ani called on scholars, preachers, and students of
\nreligious knowledge to actively engage in such da\u2018wah programs, given their
\nrole in highlighting the status of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with
\nthem, and strengthening religious awareness in society.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He also called for making use of such occasions to
\npromote values of harmony, compassion, and forgiveness, and to instill love for
\nthe Companions in the hearts of younger generations, urging them to follow
\ntheir example. He emphasized the importance of continuing programs that serve
\nthe spiritual and awareness-related needs of society.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
