World Union of Muslim Scholars condemns aggression against
\nLebanon and calls for urgent international action<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Amid the
\nongoing repercussions of the military escalation in Lebanon, the World Union of
\nMuslim Scholars condemned the continued aggression, expressing deep sorrow and
\nregret over what it described as a \u201cbrutal assault\u201d that has left hundreds of
\npeople killed and injured.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nUnion stated that what is happening constitutes a \u201cfully-fledged crime against
\nhumanity,\u201d carried out \u201cin cold blood and without any conscience or respect for
\nthe human right to life,\u201d stressing that these violations reflect a dangerous
\nescalation against civilians.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nstatement noted that the blood of the victims \u201cis not mere numbers in news
\nbulletins,\u201d but rather represents \u201cdeep wounds in the heart of the \u0627\u0644\u0623\u0645\u0629<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> (Ummah),\u201d calling for the broadest Arab,
\nIslamic, and international mobilization to immediately stop the aggression and
\nend what it described as a \u201ccycle of recurring crimes\u201d against civilians in
\nLebanon and the region.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In the
\nsame context, the Union issued an appeal to the United Nations and the
\ninternational community to assume their legal and humanitarian
\nresponsibilities, questioning the absence of an effective response to the
\n\u201ccries of the oppressed and the blood of the innocent,\u201d in reference to what it
\nconsidered ongoing international failure to halt the escalation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

It
\nstressed that what is happening in Lebanon represents a \u201ctrue test of the
\nworld\u2019s humanity,\u201d affirming that history \u201cwill not forgive those who remain
\nsilent,\u201d and calling for a serious stand to stop the aggression and provide
\nurgent humanitarian support to those affected, emphasizing that supporting
\noppressed peoples is a \u201cmoral, religious, and humanitarian duty.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Urgent
\ncalls to stop the aggression and break the cycle of crimes<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

In a
\nspecial statement, the Secretary-General of the Union, Ali Al-Sallabi, renewed
\nhis call for widespread condemnation of what he described as \u201cZionist
\noccupation crimes\u201d against civilians in Lebanon, considering them a \u201cserious
\ndevelopment in the path of igniting chaos and fueling strife in the region and
\nthe world,\u201d and warning of their implications for international security and
\nstability.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Al-Sallabi
\nurged Islamic scholars and institutions of what he called the \u201cfree world\u201d to
\nassume their moral and humanitarian responsibilities in condemning these crimes
\nand pressuring decision-making capitals to put an end to them and hold
\nperpetrators accountable, stressing that continued international silence
\n\u201cencourages further violations.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He also
\nemphasized the necessity of urgent Arab, Islamic, and international action to
\nsupport the Lebanese people and stand by them in light of this humanitarian
\ncatastrophe, calling for immediate political and humanitarian assistance, and
\nworking to stop the aggression and alleviate civilian suffering, affirming that
\n\u201chumanitarian and moral duty cannot tolerate delay in such circumstances.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

This
\nstance comes amid escalating tensions in the region, particularly after the
\noutbreak of the American-Israeli war against Iran, which has seen multiple

\nrepercussions.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

At a
\ntime when international calls for restraint and de-escalation continue, voices
\nare also increasing demanding urgent action to stop what is described as a
\n\u201cdangerous slide toward further chaos and instability\u201d in the region.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
