A
\ndelegation from the Kurdistan branch of the International Union of Muslim
\nScholars participated in a fiqh seminar, considered the first of its kind in
\nIraq, titled: \u201cInstitutional Management of Sacrificial Animals,\u201d with the
\nparticipation of a select group of scholars and jurists.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\ndelegation was headed by Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Wahab Al-Binjawini, head of the
\nKurdistan branch, and included Dr. Zaid Yassin Suleiman and Dr. Bahauddin
\nAbdulmughith Khalifa as members.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nseminar was held on Saturday, 2 May 2026, organized by Al-Rakeeza Foundation in
\ncooperation with the Council of Iraqi Scholars. It addressed several
\njurisprudential and organizational themes, foremost among them the Islamic
\nrulings related to sacrifice and its conditions, in addition to discussing
\nmechanisms for the institutional management of the sacrificial ritual in line
\nwith Sharia guidelines.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nseminar also explored contemporary perspectives on developing institutional
\nwork in the management of sacrificial animals, in a way that achieves the
\nobjectives of Islamic Sharia, enhances service efficiency during this religious
\noccasion, and strengthens its social impact.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nevent marked a scholarly precedent in Iraq, as it combined classical
\njurisprudential grounding with modern administrative approaches, reflecting the
\norientation of religious and academic institutions toward developing
\nSharia-based practices in line with contemporary needs and enhancing community
\nservice.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
