In the
\nheart of Camp 17 in Cox\u2019s Bazar, Bangladesh\u2014where more than 1.2 million
\nrefugees live across 33 camps\u2014a long line of Rohingya girls stands in white
\nheadscarves, their dark garments breaking the monotony of the endless rows of
\ntents.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

This
\nformation is more than a visual scene; it marks the graduation of the first 25
\ngirls who have memorized the Holy Qur\u2019an during the blessed month of Ramadan.
\nTheir achievement is not merely the memorization of verses, but an act of
\npreserving their identity from fading away\u2014a thread of light illuminating the
\nlong nights of forced exile.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cAisha School\u201d: A Story of Resilience<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Umm
\nAl-Mu\u2019minin Aisha School is not just a modest educational facility; it is a
\nstory of perseverance that began in November 2020 with a small dream and
\nsincere intentions.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Roshi
\nDullah, one of the school\u2019s founders who hails from the village of Andan in
\nMyanmar\u2019s Arakan State, recounts how the school began with one male teacher,
\ntwo female teachers, and 60 students. Today, it has expanded to host 160 girls
\ncompeting to memorize the Qur\u2019an, culminating in the graduation of the first 25
\nmemorizers, all under the age of eighteen.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Despite
\nthis progress, Roshi highlights the significant challenges facing the school:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe need
\nproper classrooms, educational materials, copies of the Qur\u2019an, and financial
\nsupport for teachers\u2019 salaries. Our goal is to welcome more girls and improve
\nthe quality of education.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Despite
\nlimited resources, the school follows a learning method that combines sabaq
\n(new lessons) with manzil (revision at home). The students persist through the
\nscorching summer heat and the heavy monsoon rains, proving that losing their
\nhomeland has not diminished their faith.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe lost
\nour homes, but we did not lose our faith,\u201d Roshi says. \u201cThese young memorizers
\nsend a message to the world that the dignity of the Rohingya lives on through
\npreserving the Book of God.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Light of the Qur\u2019an Amid Camp Hardships<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

At the
\ngraduation ceremony, one student sits with quiet dignity while her classmates
\ngather around her, each holding a certificate of achievement\u2014a document of
\ndefiance against all odds, proving that knowledge recognizes no boundaries of
\ntents nor is it shaken by the hardships of exile.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Sadaqa Bibi: An Icon of Hope<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

From the
\ndepths of the camps emerges Sadaqa Bibi, 15, who has completed memorizing the
\nQur\u2019an and earned the title of Hafiza, amid the sound of rain and the bustle of
\ncamp life. With a smile of contentment, she says:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI used
\nto wake up early to review the Qur\u2019an\u2026 God chose me to carry His Book in my
\nheart. That is greater than all the treasures of this world.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Sadaqa
\nwas not alone in achieving this milestone. Her father, teacher Hussein Ahmed,
\nsees in his daughter a light that brightens their narrow tent, believing that
\neducating girls is an act of resistance against despair and the bitterness of
\ndisplacement.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Sadaqa
\nconcludes with a message to her peers:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDo not
\nlet displacement chain your spirits. The Qur\u2019an is a light that breaks the bars
\nof the camp and opens the horizons of the sky before you.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Human Will Defeats the Darkness of Exile<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The
\nsuccess of these girls in memorizing the Holy Qur\u2019an amid the hardships of camp
\nlife is not merely a passing event. It stands as a declaration of the triumph
\nof human determination over darkness\u2014and a powerful message that faith and
\neducation can create miracles even in the most difficult circumstances.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
