Scholars and Religious Institutions Raise the Cry of Truth:
\n“Al-Aqsa at the Heart of the Conspiracy\u2026 The Ummah Must Rise”<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

A group
\nof scholars and their religious institutions issued an urgent statement
\nyesterday, Thursday, condemning the closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by occupying
\nforces. They affirmed that the mosque is not merely a place of worship, but a
\nsacred right of the Islamic Ummah and an enduring Islamic endowment that cannot
\nbe divided or relinquished.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Al-Aqsa in Imminent Danger<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The
\nstatement, titled “Al-Masra in Imminent Danger and at the Heart of the
\nConspiracy,” emphasized that preventing prayers, Friday congregations, and
\nreligious retreats constitutes a blatant attack on the freedom of worship and a
\nprovocation to Muslims across the globe. It warned that the closure could
\nremain in effect indefinitely, exploiting regional events to impose new
\nrealities on the ground.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nscholars stressed that the occupying authorities are using these measures to
\nassert control and dominance over the holiest sites of Muslims in Palestine.
\nThey affirmed that Al-Aqsa is neither a tool in political conflicts nor a
\nbargaining chip in regional disputes.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Scholars\u2019 Cry to the Ummah<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The
\nstatement called upon the Islamic Ummah to remain vigilant and take decisive
\naction, urging mosque preachers and imams to highlight the severity of the
\nsituation during the upcoming Friday sermons. It also encouraged ministries of
\nendowments, scholarly institutions, and civil society organizations to launch
\npublic campaigns and activities to support and safeguard Al-Aqsa Mosque.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore,
\nthe scholars called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and all Arab and
\nMuslim countries to fulfill their historical responsibilities by exerting
\nimmediate and serious pressure on the occupying authorities to reopen the
\nmosque and halt all arbitrary measures against it.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

They
\nalso reaffirmed the duty of the Islamic Endowments Administration in the
\nHashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as the custodian of the Islamic holy sites, to
\nexercise its sovereign authority in protecting the mosque and reopening it to
\nworshippers.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nscholars appealed to the residents of Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the 1948
\nterritories, as well as anyone able to access Al-Aqsa, to restore and occupy
\nthe mosque and to break through the imposed restrictions. They emphasized that
\nthose unable to enter should pray at the nearest possible location to the
\nmosque, which grants them the full reward. They underscored that protecting
\nAl-Aqsa requires unity, collective awareness, and decisive action at all
\nlevels.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nstatement concluded: “May God preserve the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, repel
\nthe schemes of the aggressors, unite the Ummah in truth, honor, and
\nempowerment, and extinguish the flames of this war.”<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
