Doha \u2013
\nHis Eminence Sheikh Ali Muhyiddin Al-Qaradaghi, President of the Union, held an
\nexpanded meeting on Saturday afternoon, April 11, with His Eminence Sheikh Ali
\nMuhammad Al-Sallabi, Secretary-General, in the presence of the Assistant
\nSecretaries-General, His Eminence Sheikh Fadl Abdullah Murad and His Eminence
\nSheikh Sultan Ibrahim Al-Hashemi. The meeting took place within the framework
\nof reviewing the General Secretariat\u2019s accomplishments and following up on work
\nprogress over the past period.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

His
\nEminence opened the meeting with a speech praising the level of cooperation and
\ncoordination between the Union\u2019s Presidency and the General Secretariat across
\nvarious fields of work, stressing the importance of sincerity in performance,
\nand citing the \u0642\u0648\u0644\u0647 \u062a\u0639\u0627\u0644\u0649<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> (words of God
\nAlmighty): \u201cAnd to your Lord direct [your] longing\u201d (Qur\u2019an 94:8), in a way
\nthat reinforces sustainable impact and achieves the desired benefit for the
\nUmmah.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

During
\nthe meeting, the Secretary-General presented a detailed briefing on the most
\nprominent achievements accomplished during the first three months of the
\ncurrent year, reviewing the extent of efforts exerted by the General
\nSecretariat despite the exceptional circumstances related to the war, which
\nalso necessitated two weeks of remote work.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\npresentation also covered implemented projects, the mechanisms of weekly,
\nmonthly, and periodic meetings\u2014whether with branch heads or committees\u2014as well
\nas activities carried out either in person at the Union\u2019s headquarters or
\nthrough remote communication platforms.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nmeeting witnessed an extensive discussion, during which the President and the
\nAssistant Secretaries-General raised a number of observations and development
\nproposals, to be incorporated into the report and finalized after making the
\nnecessary amendments.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

This
\nmeeting comes as part of the Union leadership\u2019s commitment to strengthening
\ninstitutional work, enhancing performance levels, and ensuring continuous
\nfollow-up of various activities and programs, in a manner that fulfills the
\nUnion\u2019s objectives and mission.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
