The Secretary-General of the
\nInternational Union of Muslim Scholars, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Ali Mohamed Al-Sallabi,
\nreceived today, Saturday, April 18, at his office at the Union\u2019s headquarters,
\nthe newly appointed Head of the Union\u2019s Qatar Branch, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Ayedh
\nAl-Qahtani. The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere marked by cooperation
\nand consultation, during which they discussed the branch\u2019s role in the coming
\nphase and prospects for strengthening its scientific and da\u2019wah presence<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

At the outset of the meeting, the
\nSecretary-General welcomed Sheikh Al-Qahtani, expressing his appreciation for
\nhis assumption of this responsibility. He emphasized the importance of the
\nUnion\u2019s branches in supporting its mission, as extensions of its message and
\neffective platforms for implementing its programs and initiatives at both local
\nand international levels<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting also addressed ways
\nto develop the work of the Qatar Branch, enhance its presence, and advance its
\nscientific, intellectual, and community programs. In addition, discussions
\ncovered mechanisms for coordination with the General Secretariat, contributing
\nto improved performance efficiency and expanding the scope of impact in serving
\nthe causes of the Muslim Ummah, as well as leveraging available opportunities
\nto launch high-quality programs that achieve the desired objectives<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

For his part, Sheikh Al-Qahtani
\npresented his vision for managing the branch in the coming phase, outlining the
\nactivities and programs he intends to implement to strengthen the branch\u2019s role
\nand expand its presence in scientific and community spheres. He affirmed his
\ncommitment to teamwork and cooperation with the General Secretariat to achieve
\nthe Union\u2019s goals and orientations<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Secretary-General expressed
\nhis gratitude to Sheikh Al-Qahtani for accepting this responsibility,
\ncommending his willingness to carry this trust and praying for his success and
\nguidance in fulfilling his duties<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the meeting,
\nthe Secretary-General presented the new Head of the Qatar Branch with a
\ncollection of his authored works and books as a gesture of appreciation,
\nreflecting the importance of intellectual and scholarly development in supporting
\ninstitutional work. He also wished him success in his upcoming responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
