Dr. Marwan Abu Ras, Head of the
\nAl-Quds and Palestine Committee in the Union, took part in the mass solidarity
\nrally organized by the \u201cAl-Aqsa Women\u2019s Association\u201d on Friday, April 10, in
\nthe \u00dcsk\u00fcdar district of Istanbul.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The event aimed to express
\nsolidarity with the Palestinian people and to denounce the so-called \u201cexecution
\nlaw\u201d that the Israeli occupation seeks to implement against Palestinian
\nprisoners, as well as to condemn the grave violations and inhumane detention
\nconditions imposed by the Israeli prison administration<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

During his speech at the event,
\nDr. Marwan Abu Ras highlighted the severe suffering endured by detainees in
\nIsraeli prisons, warning that the Israeli authorities are effectively carrying
\nout a \u201cslow and systematic execution\u201d against them by depriving them of the
\nmost basic necessities of life, including water, electricity, food, and
\nmedicine.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He revealed what he described as
\nshocking facts from inside the prisons, noting that around 350 prisoners have
\ndied inside detention facilities, and that some detainees have been held in
\ncomplete solitary confinement for more than ten years without any contact with
\ntheir families or the outside world<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Head of the Committee, Dr.
\nMarwan Abu Ras, also called in his concluding remarks on the Turkish government
\nand international bodies to take urgent and serious action to halt what he
\ndescribed as unjust decisions, questioning the continued global silence over
\nwhat he referred to as an ongoing genocide and widespread injustices affecting
\nhundreds of thousands of Palestinians.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He further emphasized that
\nAl-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque are a trust upon every Muslim, reaffirming his
\ncontinued commitment to supporting the prisoners\u2019 cause and standing by them
\nthrough all possible means until they attain full freedom<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

It is worth noting that the
\nAl-Quds and Palestine Committee is one of the committees of the Union, and it
\nis responsible for following up on the issues of Al-Quds and Palestine,
\ndefending the rights of the Palestinian people, highlighting the violations they
\nare subjected to, and supporting their resilience across various international
\nforums and events<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
