Final Statement of the Sixth Session of
\nthe Board of Trustees of the International Union of Muslim Scholars<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

In the Name of Allah, the Most
\nGracious, the Most Merciful<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Final Statement of the Meeting of the Board of
\nTrustees of the International Union of Muslim Scholars<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Held in its sixth session on Saturday, 18 Dhul-Hijjah
\n1446 AH, corresponding to 14 June 2025 CE.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

All praise is due to Allah, and may peace and
\nblessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, companions, and all who
\nfollow him. To proceed:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Board of Trustees of the International Union of
\nMuslim Scholars convened its sixth session on Saturday, 18 Dhul-Hijjah 1446 AH,
\ncorresponding to 14 June 2025 CE.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting reviewed its agenda, which included, after
\nthe recitation of the Noble Qur\u2019an, a keynote speech by His Eminence, Sheikh
\nProfessor Dr. Ali Al-Qaradaghi, President of the International Union of Muslim
\nScholars. In his address, he highlighted the Union\u2019s role in advancing the
\nMuslim Ummah, fulfilling its duty of knowledge, and carrying its message in
\naccordance with its major directives, strategies, and plans\u2014especially in light
\nof the current challenges facing the Ummah, which increase the legal and moral
\nresponsibilities borne by the Union.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting then reviewed reports from the presidency,
\nsecretariat, and various active committees, their initiatives and projects. The
\nGeneral Secretariat listened to the proposals of the board members regarding
\nthe presented items, and provided clarifications accordingly, giving priority
\nto constructive feedback for implementation and development of the plan. A
\ndedicated segment of the meeting focused on recent developments of the \u201cAl-Aqsa
\nFlood\u201d operation and the genocide perpetrated by the Zionist entity in Gaza.
\nThe meeting also addressed the pressing issues and current developments
\naffecting the Ummah.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Accordingly, the Union affirms the
\nfollowing:<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

First<\/span><\/u><\/b>:<\/span><\/b> The continued implementation of the five-year plan
\nderived from its major strategies, with primary focus on its scholarly mission
\nand contribution to the civilizational advancement of the Ummah\u2014particularly
\nduring this critical stage in its history\u2014while ensuring ongoing monitoring and
\nevaluation through the relevant channels of the Union\u2019s executive, advisory,
\ngovernance, and planning bodies.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Second:<\/span><\/u><\/b> The
\nUnion calls upon the scholars of the Ummah to fulfill the trust entrusted to
\nthem by Allah, for they are the inheritors of the Prophets, whom Allah has
\nhonored and whose testimony He paired with His own and that of His angels. This
\nstatus stems from their vital and central role in reviving the religion and
\nuplifting the Ummah.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The grave events unfolding in the Muslim world today
\ncompel scholars to assume their religious responsibility by offering sincere
\ncounsel to the Ummah, its nations, and leaders\u2014for indeed, the religion is
\nsincere counsel.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Third<\/span><\/u><\/b>: The
\nUnion reaffirms its unwavering and long-standing stance in support of the
\nPalestinian cause. It reiterates its previous resolutions and fatwas related to
\nthis cause, especially since the launch of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation and the
\nbrutal Zionist aggression that has shed the blood of children, women,
\ncivilians, and the innocent; destroyed mosques, hospitals, and vital
\ninfrastructure; and left nearly two hundred thousand people dead, wounded, or
\nmissing. The Union also condemns the ongoing desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque, its
\nclosure to worshippers, attempts to perform ritual sacrifices therein,
\ndisplacement and aggression against the people of the West Bank, land
\nconfiscation, and settlement expansion. In this regard, the Union emphasizes the following:<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

a.<\/span><\/b> The call upon the
\nIslamic Ummah and all free people of the world to rise in urgent global
\nsolidarity in support of the Palestinian cause, particularly by aiding their
\nbrothers in Gaza and the West Bank through all forms of material and moral
\nsupport\u2014including a call for a global uprising against the genocide.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

b.<\/span><\/b> The Union commends
\nthe global grassroots efforts exemplified by various international initiatives,
\nmost recently the “Convoy of Steadfastness,” and calls upon the
\nconcerned states to cooperate with these initiatives, facilitate their passage
\ninto Gaza, and release those detained among them\u2014fulfilling the minimum
\nhumanitarian, religious, and ethical duty. Foremost among the responsible
\nparties are the Islamic states, for aiding their brethren is a binding
\nobligation upon them.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

c.<\/span><\/b> The Union calls on
\nhuman rights organizations to intensify efforts and pursue all legal, civil,
\nand popular avenues available to defend the Palestinian cause and exert
\npressure on global decision-makers to stop the bloodshed in Gaza and across
\nPalestine.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

d.<\/span><\/b> The Union urges the
\nLeague of Arab States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and all free
\ninternational organizations to play a serious and effective role in halting the
\ncriminal massacre and widespread destruction perpetrated by the Zionist aggressors
\nagainst our brothers and sisters in Palestine.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Fourth<\/span><\/u><\/b>: The Union continues to monitor developments on the
\nglobal and Islamic fronts, reaffirming its consistent positions in condemning
\nall forms of oppression, aggression, and sectarian violence committed by
\ncertain states or armed militia groups\u2014as is the case in Yemen, Sudan, and
\nother parts of the world.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Fifth<\/span><\/u><\/b>: In this final statement, the International Union of
\nMuslim Scholars denounces the blatant Zionist aggression against the Islamic
\nRepublic of Iran, which reflects the entity\u2019s disregard for all international
\nand humanitarian conventions and its perception of being above all laws and
\nregulations. The Union calls upon the League of Arab States, the Organization
\nof Islamic Cooperation, and UN member states to fulfill their responsibilities
\nin this regard.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Sixth<\/span><\/u><\/b>: The Union calls on all Muslim peoples to unite their
\nranks, for among the greatest objectives of Islam is unity of the word and the
\nrejection of division and racism. It also urges all scholarly institutions,
\ncouncils, and associations to strengthen cooperation and bridge relationships
\namong themselves, for such collaboration serves the highest interests of
\nAllah\u2019s religion, His message, and the Muslim Ummah as a whole.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds\u2014at the
\nbeginning and the end. May Allah send peace and blessings upon our noble
\nMessenger, his family, companions, and those who follow them in righteousness
\nuntil the Day of Judgment.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
