The Family Committee of the
\nInternational Union of Muslim Scholars participated in an event organized by
\nthe Global Forum for Thought and Culture on the occasion of its second
\nanniversary. The celebration was held under the slogan \u201cTogether, We Illuminate
\nthe Paths of Thought\u201d in Istanbul.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The committee was represented at
\nthe event by Dr. Kamelia Helmy Toulon, Chairperson of the Family Committee. The
\nevent took place at Sabahaddin Zaim University, with the attendance of a select
\ngroup of scholars, academics, and individuals interested in intellectual and
\ncultural affairs.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In her speech, Dr. Kamelia
\nemphasized the dangers of targeting identity through the manipulation of
\nthought and culture. She stressed that attacks on identity begin with ideas
\nbefore manifesting in behavior and that raising generational awareness forms the
\nprimary shield for protecting societal values and constants.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

She also highlighted the risks
\nposed by certain international agreements, which she described as promoting
\ndeviant behavior and leading youth toward moral deviation. She considered these
\nagreements a direct threat to the family structure, aiming to dismantle the
\nconcept of the family and alter the standards of natural, sound upbringing.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Kamelia affirmed that
\npreserving the family is both a religious and civilizational duty, and that
\nprotecting its structure requires addressing the root causes of its
\ndisintegration and fostering proper awareness among parents and youth, rather
\nthan relying solely on slogans.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Addressing the audience, she
\nemphasized that taking pride in one\u2019s identity is a necessity, not a choice, as
\nit forms the foundation of belonging and a source of societal strength. She
\nnoted that nations that neglect their identity lose their ability to progress
\nand exert influence.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

She praised the efforts of the
\nGlobal Forum for Thought and Culture in supporting authentic thought and
\nfortifying youth through programs and initiatives that help safeguard identity
\nfrom external influences.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Her participation received wide
\nacclaim from the audience, while the forum\u2019s administration expressed its
\nappreciation for Dr. Kamelia\u2019s scientific and awareness-raising role, valuing
\nthe intellectual partnership between the forum and the International Union of
\nMuslim Scholars.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
