Qaradaghi Issues Urgent Appeal to Save Gaza from Genocide,

In a
\npainful and recorded plea, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Ali Mohieddin Al-Qaradaghi,
\nSecretary General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, issued a
\nresounding cry to the leaders, scholars, and peoples of the Islamic Ummah,
\nurging immediate and serious action to save Gaza from an unprecedented
\nhumanitarian catastrophe.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Save Gaza from Genocide and Siege<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Qaradaghi
\nstated: \u201cGaza is being killed today in two ways: bombardment by tanks,
\naircraft, and missiles, and slow death by hunger, thirst, and disease\u2014tens of
\nthousands are now on the brink of death.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He added
\nwith sorrow: \u201cThe scenes we are witnessing of Gaza\u2019s children, women, diseases,
\nand famine are unlike anything history has ever seen.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He
\npassionately asked: \u201cBy Him in whose hand is my soul, when will the hearts of
\nMuslim leaders be moved?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

When
\nwill the hearts of influential religious bodies such as Al-Azhar, the
\nOrganization of Islamic Cooperation, and other religious and official
\ninstitutions be stirred?<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

When
\nwill neighboring countries like Egypt and Jordan act?\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Immediate Opening of Gaza Crossings<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

His
\nEminence stressed that the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip are in dire
\nneed of urgent aid and support from their brothers in the Arab and Islamic
\nworlds. He emphasized the necessity of \u201copening the crossings, providing food
\nand medicine, and stopping the deadly aggression and siege.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In
\nconclusion, Qaradaghi addressed the leaders of the Islamic world and the free
\nworld, saying:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI call
\nupon you to take immediate and practical action to stop the bloodshed and end
\nthe policies of genocide and systematic starvation being inflicted on our
\npeople in Gaza.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Since
\nOctober 7, 2023, the Zionist occupation\u2019s genocide in Gaza has left over
\n209,000 Palestinians killed or injured\u2014most of them children and women\u2014with
\nmore than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands displaced and a
\nfamine that has claimed countless lives.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
