Malaysia Launches
“Al-Mufti” Animated Series to Promote Religious Awareness in a Modern Style
In a significant initiative
reflecting a renewed approach to delivering religious discourse, the Department
of the Federal Territories Mufti in Malaysia is preparing to launch a new
animated series titled “Al-Mufti”, aimed at strengthening awareness of Islamic
values through a modern style that aligns with the interests of younger
generations.
This initiative forms part of a
broader vision to develop religious content through modern media platforms. The
project was originally conceived by Senator Dr. Zulkifli Hasan, Minister in the
Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), who officially launched the
series on March 12, 2026. He emphasized the importance of utilizing creative
technologies to convey religious messages and enhance their impact within
society.
The series features the prominent
participation of Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Fawwaz Fadil, a member of the Ahmad Fawwaz
Fadil, who plays a key role in explaining and simplifying Islamic concepts. His
contribution focuses on presenting religious teachings in an accessible manner
suitable for all audiences, particularly youth and adolescents, thereby
promoting a correct understanding of Islam and reinforcing its moderate values.
The series is expected to help
simplify religious concepts and present them in an engaging and accessible
format, strengthening the connection of younger generations with authentic
sources of Islamic knowledge through innovative media tools that align with
digital developments.
The Mufti Department has called
on the public to follow the animated series episodes via its official channel
on the YouTube, where it will be exclusively broadcast, as part of its ongoing
efforts to enhance digital presence and expand its societal impact.
