Arrest of Sheikh Raed Salah in al-Quds Amid Widespread
Condemnation and Ongoing Israeli Violations

Palestinian
media reported on Wednesday that Israeli occupation forces arrested Sheikh Raed
Salah, head of the Islamic Movement in the occupied interior, while he was in
the city of al-Quds.

Sources
indicated that Sheikh Salah had been invited to break his fast at a private
home in the Shuafat neighborhood of al-Quds, when Israeli soldiers raided the
location and arrested him.

Earlier,
Sheikh Salah addressed a recorded message from the vicinity of the al-Aqsa
Mosque, denouncing the occupation’s measures to close the mosque and prevent
worshippers from accessing it. He emphasized the continuation of Israeli
aggression against Gaza and the West Bank, in addition to the escalating events
in al-Quds and the “wounds widening in Sudan.”

He also
referred to what he described as a “blind sedition” stirred by
Crusader-Zionist decisions regarding Iran and the Gulf, warning that the fire
could spread to major Muslim countries.

Additionally,
he touched on the issue of prisoners in Israeli jails, noting that their number
exceeds 100,000 Palestinian detainees, amid ongoing Israeli violations against
them.
