The International Union of Muslim Scholars affirms:
What the Zionist occupiers did against the funeral of the oppressed journalist Shireen Abu Aqila, the funeral ceremonies, and the attack on mourners is a barbaric, criminal, condemned, immoral act by all standards, and outside all religious values and human norms.
The Union calls on the world to condemn it, and raise its voice to punish these reckless occupiers.
The union calls on the international community for a transparent international investigation in which the occupying power does not participate.
The Union extends its condolences to the family of Shireen Abu Akleh, to the Al Jazeera news network, to the Palestinian people with all its components, and to all its leaders.
The Union calls on the world, the United Nations, and international organizations to prevent the occupiers in Palestine in general, and in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque in particular - from their crimes against holy sites and people, and the disregard for any legal or humanitarian body, and the use of brutality and barbarism in dealing with women, children and the media, and demands them to take a decisive stand from the occupying country.
The Union also calls on everyone to reject double standards in dealing with the occupiers in Palestine, Ukraine and others.
We are facing a great responsibility, and we ask about it before God Almighty and then before history and future generations (and God is predominant over His affair, but most people do not know)
