Doha: Al-Qaradaghi receives delegation from Islamic Union of Kurdistan to discuss Kurdistan and Iraq.

Doha: Dr. Ali al-Qaradaghi, the Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, welcomed Mr. Salahuddin Mohammed Bahaa Al-Din, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Union of Kurdistan, and his accompanying delegation at his esteemed residence in Doha.

During their fruitful meeting, lasting for over an hour, various pressing issues were discussed in depth. The primary focus of the discussions centered around the targeted persecution of Islamic figures and the urgent need to address this alarming phenomenon.

Both parties exchanged valuable insights and shared their experiences, with the overarching objective of raising awareness and fostering collaboration to effectively tackle these challenges.

Moreover, the current situation in Iraq, particularly in the Kurdistan region, was extensively deliberated upon. The participants engaged in a constructive dialogue, exchanging information and analysis concerning the general landscape of the region. Special attention was given to initiatives aimed at enhancing stability and promoting inclusive dialogue among all segments of Iraqi society.

Furthermore, the role of the Islamic Union in the Kurdistan region of Iraq was highlighted, showcasing the Union's unwavering commitment to supporting the local community and upholding Islamic values, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence within the region.

In a notable gesture, Mr. Salahuddin Mohammed Bahaa Al-Din visited the Qaradaghi Center for Development and Social Peace during his presence at the Doha International Book Fair. He took a comprehensive tour of the exhibition, acquainting himself with the center's wide range of activities and programs. Expressing his deep appreciation, he lauded the center's significant efforts in promoting culture, education, and the dissemination of Sheikh Qaradaghi's valuable works across diverse fields.
