Doha: Sheikh Dr. Ali Al-Qaradaghi, the Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, received on Saturday afternoon in his office at the Union headquarters, Datuk Seri Ahmad Awang Muhammad, the President of the Global Mosques Alliance for the Defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque - Malaysia, along with the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, discussions revolved around the friendship and cooperation between the Union and the Global Mosques Alliance for the Defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Malaysia, and ways to develop and enhance these relations across various domains.
Both parties deliberated on matters concerning the Ummah, emphasizing the necessity of supporting and safeguarding Al-Aqsa Mosque and all Islamic sanctities.
They also agreed on the importance of strengthening cooperation and promoting the message of Islam's moderation, while unequivocally rejecting all forms of extremism, terrorism, fanaticism, strictness, and disrespect towards Islamic sanctities.
Both sides expressed their aspirations to achieve further progress and successes in the field of Islamic work and serving Muslims worldwide.
These meetings are part of sustainable efforts made by the Islamic Union to enhance communication and cooperation among religious scholars worldwide, with the aim of supporting and propagating Islamic values within Muslim societies.
It's worth noting that the "Global Mosques Alliance for the Defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque" is a branch within the Consultative Council of Non-Governmental Islamic Organizations in Malaysia.
