The Secretary-General of the Union participated in an international conference on "Streamlining the Islamic Awakening" in the city of Diyarbakir, Turkey.

Diyarbakir, Turkey - In a notable visit to Diyarbakir, situated in southeastern Anatolia, Turkey, Dr. Ali al-Qaradaghi, the distinguished Secretary-General, arrived on Friday at the gracious invitation of the Islamic Huda Party and the Union of Scholars and Islamic Schools. The purpose of his visit is to participate in the highly anticipated eighth scholars' forum.

This two-day forum, hosted at the central headquarters of the Union of Scholars, is dedicated to illuminating a crucial theme central to the Islamic Awakening. Distinguished scholars from both within Turkey and beyond its borders have gathered to exchange ideas and insights.

During the forum's inaugural session, Dr. al-Qaradaghi delivered a captivating speech titled "The Significance of Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi in the World of Knowledge and Scholarly Institutions He Established." In addition to the Secretary-General, Dr. Nawaf Takruri, a respected member of the Union of Scholars' Board of Trustees, presented a compelling discourse titled "Salah al-Din and His Contributions to Social Initiatives in Support of Jerusalem." Furthermore, Dr. Feras Mar'i, another esteemed member of the Union, shared his expertise in a speech entitled "Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi and the Heroic Defense of Jerusalem."

The initial session of the conference centers on "Revisiting the Role of Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi in Social Reform and the Defense of Jerusalem." The subsequent session delves into "The Role of Scholars and Religious Institutions in Guiding the Islamic Awakening," aiming to shed light on the reasons behind their changing roles.

The third session takes on the topic of "Gender Issues and Their Impact on Human Values and the Preservation of Muslim Families," while the fourth and final session underscores "The Crucial Role of Scholars in Unifying the Components of the Muslim Ummah."
