President of IUMS Chairs Preparatory Meeting with General Secretariat and Committee Heads Ahead of Board of Trustees Meetings
As part of preparations for the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) Board of Trustees meetings scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, November 30 and December 1, 2024, Sheikh Dr. Ali Mohiuddin al-Qaradaghi, President of IUMS, chaired a preparatory meeting today, Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the union's headquarters in Doha.
The session was attended by Sheikh Dr. Abdul Majeed al-Najjar, Vice President of IUMS, Sheikh Dr. Ali bin Mohammed al-Sallabi, Secretary-General, alongside the General Secretariat and heads of committees.
Meeting Highlights
The agenda included:
- Review of the 2024 Annual Report, which showcased major achievements and highlighted challenges faced by the committees.
- Discussion of the 2025 Strategic Plan, aiming to enhance performance and set future priorities.
- Agreement on mechanisms for presenting committee reports during the Board of Trustees meeting.
- Deliberation on recent developments and issues tied to the union's mission to serve the Muslim Ummah.
