Yemen and the Levant: The Current Reality and Hoped-for Future

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his companions. To proceed:

When numerous factions arose and various directions were taken, driven by personal ambitions and short-term interests aligned with desires, division ensued. This weakened them and led to retreat, as Allah says: "And do not dispute, for you will lose courage and your power will depart..." (Quran, 8:46). This illustrates the destructive power of division.

This is what occurred in recent years in Syria, the blessed land of the Levant. Initially, in the first year of liberation, the factions came together, but later they became fragmented. However, in recent times, they managed to unite, overcome internal divisions, and became a powerful force. In just a matter of days, they liberated large areas, thanks to Allah’s grace, and through their unity and the resolution of their differences. They freed prisoners, returned displaced people to their homes, and as Allah says, "Say, 'In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy—in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate.’"

Based on this, I call upon my brothers in the blessed land of Yemen to unite their efforts, align their ranks, and overcome their internal divisions, which have hindered and delayed liberation. Let them learn from the mistakes of the past and complete the liberation of Yemen from the hands of criminal and treacherous gangs.

This message extends to our brothers in the Palestinian Liberation Organization as well. They should join forces with their fellow brothers in Gaza, standing side by side in the blessed land, so that joy may spread, and victory can be fully achieved for Gaza and for all of Palestine, Insha'Allah.

Let go of disputes, no matter how great they may seem, avoid them, and focus on the greater goal of unity and the noble guidance from Allah.

The divine texts are filled with instructions for Muslims to promote brotherhood and reject division, fragmentation, and discord, especially during times of peace. What, then, can be said about times of war, when unity is even more vital, more urgent, and more obligatory?

One cannot earn the obedience of Allah, and jihad—one of the highest forms of worship and nearness to Allah after faith—cannot be achieved in the presence of disobedience, which includes division and strife.

Furthermore, I would like to emphasize, in connection with the previous point, the deep brotherhood between Yemen and the Levant as a single entity—whether in peace or war, throughout history and civilization, in joy or sorrow. Over fourteen hundred years ago, the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, united them with his words: "O Allah, bless our Sham and our Yemen..."

Their fate is intertwined, their wounds are shared, their concerns are the same, and their goal is unified.

In conclusion, we understand fully that there are wise and insightful individuals among them who are aware of the situation and have exerted every effort, without a doubt. However, this message serves as a reminder to those with hearts, as Allah says: "And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers." (Quran, 51:55)

What has been shared here are merely pointers and broad themes, without lengthy explanations or elaboration. May Allah benefit all Muslims through this message and make it sincere for His noble face.

We ask Allah to protect all Muslim lands.

May Allah accept the martyrs of the Muslims, granting them paradise, and may He grant healing to the wounded, security to the fearful, and defeat to their enemies. Ameen.

And may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his companions.

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
