Istanbul: President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars Delivers Lecture on "Islamic Economics and Finance" at Sabahattin Zaim University
In an effort to deepen understanding of Islamic economics and finance, Sheikh Dr. Ali Mohieddin Al-Qaradaghi, President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, delivered an important lecture titled "Islamic Economics and Finance Between Jurisprudence and Economics" on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Nizam al-Mulk Conference Hall of Sabahattin Zaim University in Istanbul, Turkey.
The seminar, attended by administrators, faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students, featured extensive discussions on the significance of jurisprudential foundations in the field of Islamic economics and finance.
Dr. Al-Qaradaghi highlighted the methodologies employed in these studies, emphasizing the role of Fiqh al-Mizan (the jurisprudence of balance) in achieving harmony between Sharia and economics within this specialized field.
This visit was made in response to an invitation from the International Research Center for Islamic Economics and Finance (IRCIEF) at the university, aiming to foster academic collaboration and advance research in the field of Islamic economics.
