Doha, Qatar - Sheikh Hajj Ibrahim Toufa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Ethiopia, along with his delegation, was warmly welcomed at the headquarters of the Union in Qatar. He was received by His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Qaradaghi, President of the Union, and the Assistant Secretary, His Eminence Sheikh Fadl Murad.
Sheikh Ali Al-Qaradaghi expressed his delight at Sheikh Hajj Ibrahim’s visit, highlighting the importance of enhancing cooperation between the Union and the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in various Islamic fields.
For his part, Sheikh Hajj Ibrahim expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome, praising the invitation he received to attend the Union’s General Assembly last January, and emphasizing the significance of joint efforts in serving Muslims and promoting values of moderation and tolerance.
During the visit, some of the new projects that the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Ethiopia intends to implement in the coming period were presented. These projects include endowment, relief, and missionary initiatives aimed at serving the community and promoting goodness and development.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Union presented a commemorative shield on behalf of its members and religious scholars, in appreciation of Sheikh Hajj Ibrahim's significant efforts in serving the Muslim community in Ethiopia, reaffirming the Union’s commitment to supporting joint efforts to promote Islamic values and serve humanity.
