The Union Participates with a
Distinguished Scientific and Cultural Pavilion at the Doha International Book
Fair

The 35th edition of the Doha International Book Fair
is set to open on Thursday, May 14, organized by Qatar’s Ministry of Culture
for a period of ten days at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. The
event will witness broad participation from 36 countries and 515 publishing
houses and cultural institutions, distributed across 910 pavilions, in addition
to the participation of several ministries and official and cultural
organizations.

The International Union of Muslim Scholars is
participating in the 35th edition of the exhibition through its pavilion No.
H2-33, in a presence that reflects its continued commitment to engaging in
major cultural and intellectual events and strengthening its role within the
Arab and Islamic knowledge landscape.

Scientific and Intellectual
Publications

“The Union’s pavilion features a diverse collection of
books and scholarly publications issued by the Union, alongside works authored
by a number of its members, scholars, and researchers. The publications cover a
wide range of topics, including Islamic thought, jurisprudence, Islamic
outreach, education, issues concerning the Muslim Ummah, and contemporary
intellectual discourse, offering visitors rich and diverse knowledge content
that combines authenticity with modernity.”

Renewed Cultural Presence

The Union’s participation for the second consecutive
year underscores the importance of books and their role in building awareness
and spreading knowledge, particularly amid the fair’s strong public and
cultural attendance at both the Gulf and Arab levels.

According to the organizers, the 35th edition
represents a cultural and civilizational message affirming the State of Qatar’s
commitment to knowledge and culture, while further consolidating Doha’s
position as an active cultural beacon in the region despite various challenges
and exceptional circumstances.

This year’s exhibition also features a diverse
cultural program that includes seminars, lectures, and workshops, in addition
to broad Arab and international participation from publishing houses,
embassies, and various cultural institutions.

The Doha International Book Fair is considered one of
the oldest and most prominent book fairs in the region. First launched in 1972,
it has, over the decades, established itself as one of the leading cultural
events in the Gulf and Arab world.
