The International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) strongly condemns the recent escalations involving flagrant attacks on Gaza, Lebanon, and a new strike on Iran early Saturday, marking a dangerous and unchecked violation of borders and humanitarian laws.
The IUMS calls upon the global Muslim and humanitarian community, alongside the United Nations, to take a decisive stance to halt these massacres and violations. The occupying power continues its relentless assault on innocent lives, unfazed by the world's silent, passive response.
These brutal massacres are a direct attempt to eradicate innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly. In a scene devoid of the most basic values of humanity and compassion, the IUMS stresses that these actions contravene every divine and humanitarian law. The Quran states, “...if anyone kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had slain mankind entirely…” (Surah Al-Ma'idah: 32).
Additionally, the Quran warns against the deliberate killing of believers, with Allah saying, “But whoever kills a believer intentionally - his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him and has cursed him and has prepared for him a great punishment” (Surah An-Nisa: 93). The recent bombardments, collapsing homes upon their residents and targeting hospitals and places of worship, exhibit blatant disregard for all moral and ethical standards.
The IUMS also condemns in the strongest terms the criminal attack launched by the occupying force against sites in Iran this morning—a reckless escalation that threatens to plunge the entire region into chaos and destruction.
In the face of these continuous atrocities, the IUMS, on behalf of the Muslim Ummah and the free world, asks: How long will this shameful silence and inaction persist in confronting the tyranny of the occupying force? Allah says, “And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, 'Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people…'” (Surah An-Nisa: 75).
The IUMS calls on Muslims worldwide and all free people to urgently mobilize, fill the streets in solidarity, and increase efforts to stand for truth, justice, and human dignity. It further urges Islamic and international governments to fulfill their responsibilities and take immediate, serious action to halt this humanitarian catastrophe, which endangers both regional and global peace.
“And Allah is predominant over His affair, but most of the people do not know” (Surah Yusuf: 21).
