Sheikh Abu Jarra Sultani Completes Quranic Commentary in 25 Volumes After 12 Years of Continuous Work
Sheikh Abu Jarra Sultani, a prominent Algerian thinker, former minister, and member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, has completed his interpretation of the Quran in 25 volumes after years of isolation from the outside world.
Sheikh Sultani completed the final review of his work, titled "The Movement of the Glorious Quran (in the Self, Society, and History)," early Sunday morning, marking it ready for publication.
In an official statement on his page, it was confirmed that this significant accomplishment, which adds to national libraries, will be published soon, with the entire work spanning more than 17,500 pages.
The statement added that Dar Al-Shamiya would publish the book, the result of 12 years of continuous effort in writing and editing this monumental work.
Sheikh Abu Jarra Sultani, 70, who has previously led the Movement of Society for Peace and held two ministerial portfolios in previous Algerian governments, expressed in earlier statements his concern about meeting his Lord before completing this project.

Sheikh Abu Jarra Sultani, a 70-year-old Algerian politician and thinker, was born in 1954 in the Shari'a district of Tebessa. He held various leadership positions in the Algerian government, serving as Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises (1998-2000) and Minister of Labor and Social Protection (2000-2001).
He was elected several times as a member of the Algerian parliament and served as the President of the Movement of Society for Peace (MSP) from 2003 to 2017.
Sultani is also known for his intellectual contributions, having published several books on the Algerian crisis, such as "Shells of the Conflict in Algeria" and "Roots of the Conflict in Algeria." He also authored a poetry collection titled "The Sword of Al-Hajjaj."
He chairs the Global Forum for Moderation and is recognized for his moderate stances on political and religious matters.
Through his Quranic commentary, Abu Jarra Sultani adds a new accomplishment to Algeria's scholarly and cultural heritage, enhancing its intellectual stature in the Islamic world and continuing his journey in enriching religious thought in the region.
