The International Union of Muslim Scholars Condemns the Savage Campaign Against Jenin and Palestine and Calls for Unity, Rejecting the Displacement of Gaza Residents, and Holding the Occupation Accountable for its Brutal Crimes (Statement)

The International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) condemns the barbaric campaign against Jenin and other Palestinian territories. It calls on the Islamic and Arab nations to unite and stand against the ongoing conspiracies targeting Gaza, the latest being attempts to displace its residents to Egypt and Jordan.

It urges the United Nations, international organizations, and the free people of the world to prevent these serious violations of international, humanitarian, and ethical laws and to impose international sanctions on the Zionist occupation for its heinous crimes.

Full Statement:

The IUMS is deeply concerned about the forced displacement suffered by the people of Gaza and Jenin refugee camp under harsh conditions. Civilians face violence and military campaigns targeting their areas, resulting in thousands being uprooted from their homes and widespread destruction of infrastructure. These actions constitute blatant violations of international law and human rights, including the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits the forced displacement of civilians during armed conflicts. Such practices contradict fundamental human values that guarantee civilians the right to life, safety, and dignity.

In this context, the IUMS calls for immediate actions to halt forced displacement, including:

1. Demanding Action from Islamic Nations and the Arab League:

Islamic countries, Arab organizations, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation must take decisive stances to protect Palestinians in Gaza and Jenin refugee camp. They must leverage international pressure to halt forced displacement and provide political and humanitarian support to Palestinians.

2. Exerting Pressure on the Zionist Occupation to Stop Forced Displacement:

The United Nations, international organizations, and free people of the world must apply urgent pressure on the Zionist occupation to ensure civilian protection and cease these violations.

3. Imposing International Sanctions on the Zionist Entity:

Sanctions should be imposed on this criminal entity involved in such atrocities, and the perpetrators must be held accountable before international courts.

4. Providing Immediate Humanitarian Support to Victims:

Food, shelter, and healthcare must be urgently provided to the displaced while ensuring Palestinians' legitimate rights, foremost among them the right of return to their lands.

Allah Almighty says:
“And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.”
