As part of efforts to strengthen
awareness of the Palestinian cause, Al-Suffa Religious Schools in the Turkish
city of Diyarbakir hosted Dr. Marwan Abu Ras, Head of the Jerusalem and
Palestine Committee at the International Union of Muslim Scholars, where he
delivered a lecture addressing the latest developments in the Palestinian arena.
The visit came in response to an
invitation from the administration of Al-Suffa Religious Schools, where the
guest was received by a number of teachers and officials, led by Dr. Al-Tayyib
Al-Bouti, in an academic and educational atmosphere, with notable attendance
from students of various age groups.
During the lecture, Abu Ras
reviewed the current situation in Palestine, highlighting the ongoing
violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, repeated closures, as well as field and
political developments in the Gaza Strip, and the repercussions of the “Al-Aqsa
Flood” operation on the broader Palestinian landscape.
The event also witnessed
interaction from students, who raised several questions about the latest
developments in the Palestinian cause and ways to support the resilience of the
Palestinian people. Dr. Abu Ras responded by explaining the dimensions of the
conflict and the current challenges.
At the end of the visit, Abu Ras
expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Al-Suffa Schools for the warm
reception and its attention to the Palestinian cause, praising its role in
spreading religious knowledge and enhancing students’ awareness.
