Turnout at the Union’s Pavilion at the Doha International Book Fair.. A Women’s
Day Full of Activities and Interaction
The pavilion of the
Union of Muslim Scholars (H2 – 33) at the Doha International Book Fair
witnessed a remarkable turnout from visitors to the exhibition, amid diverse
attendance and wide engagement with the activities and events held inside.
On Tuesday, 19 May
2026, the Women’s Activity – Qatar Branch of the Union organized a day full of
events, during which the pavilion welcomed distinguished women, young women
from the new generation, as well as several Muslim and non-Muslim families
residing in the State of Qatar.
Visitors listened to
explanations provided by the pavilion organizers regarding the activities of
the Women’s Activity and its various committees, as well as the programs and
initiatives it offers.
Children also
enjoyed interacting with posters and awareness cards about the Palestinian
cause, in an educational atmosphere that attracted different age groups.
The pavilion also
witnessed a notable artistic presence, where artist Afnan delighted visitors
with live drawing sessions, while calligrapher Sahlah impressed attendees by
skillfully writing visitors’ names in Thuluth and Ruq’ah scripts, adding a
distinctive artistic dimension to the experience.
The pavilion was
also visited by several prominent figures from Qatari society and its guests,
reflecting the growing interest in the cultural and intellectual content
presented.
At the end of the
visit, visitors acquired a selection of the Union’s latest publications,
including books on Qur’anic exegesis, Islamic economics, thought and
methodology, Islamic history, in addition to the Encyclopedia of Islamic
Terminology, and other recent publications issued by the Union.
