IUMS condemns week-long fierce attacks on Gaza
All praise be to Allah and peace and blessings be upon Muhammad, God’s messenger, his family, companions and followers,
The International Union for Muslim Scholars has been following the hard-hitting attacks committed by the Zionist usurping entity, Israel, against Gazan people in order to achieve political gains and benefits that would consolidate the position of the current Israeli leadership before the elections scheduled early next year. The attacks have martyred and injured dozens of striving strugglers on the land of perseverance, on top of them the head of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) military wing Ahmed Al-Jaabari.
Facing this continued Israeli obstinacy and injustice against our brothers in Gaza and all of Palestine, the IUMS views the following:
First: The IUMS asserts its complete solidarity with the persevering people of Gaza, the dignified Gaza, and extends condolences to the families of the martyrs and casualties who fell as a result of the Zionist wanton attack on Gaza Strip. Allah Almighty says, "Think not of those who are slain in Allah’s way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord;” (Quran 3: 169), and says "because nothing could they suffer - whether they suffered thirst, or fatigue, or hunger, in the cause of Allah, or trod paths to raise the ire of the Unbelievers, or received any injury whatever from an enemy - but was reckoned to their credit as a good deed” (Quran 9: 120).
Second: The IUMS condemns the air raids being carried out currently by Israel against Gaza that resulted in the death of struggler Ahmed Al-Jaabari, one of the main engineers of the prisoner exchange deal, and holds Israel completely responsible for the current incidents, reminding it that God’s promise is inevitably coming, and that their legend of insurmountable power will end soon, and with it the entity built on evil and injustice.
Third: The IUMS urges the international community, civil society organizations, and all honorable people in the world to take immediate action to stop the Zionist war aimed at making personal and party gains at the expense of the blood of martyrs in Gaza; a war that is entirely far from any humanitarian considerations of security, peace, or stability.
And from Allah we seek assistance!
