The Union welcomes the historic decision of the United Nations to adopt the International Day against Islamophobia

International Union of Muslim Scholars welcomes the historic decision of the United Nations to adopt a day against Islamophobia and joins its voice in supporting international efforts to encourage international dialogue to consolidate a culture of tolerance.

IUMS emphasizes that this decision is wise and contributes to restoring the right to its natural course and it clearly shows that terrorism has no religion and it is not permissible to link it to any heavenly religion, emphasizing that Islam is a religion of mercy to the worlds. The Allah said: We have sent you ˹O Prophet˺ only as a mercy for the whole world.) (Al-Anbiya: 107), and that it is a religion of peace, light and freedom.

Additionally, the Union affirms that Islamic principles are, in essence, universal principles based on common sense and confirmed by rational thought. In addition, the International Union of Muslim Scholars, with all its scholars, is committed to pursuing genuine dialogue and global peace in order to achieve good and peace for all and to establish an environment conducive to dialogue, understanding, and acquaintance among all mankind.

In this context, the Union invites the United Nations to author a world book about Islam, Christianity, Judaism, etc., under the supervision of scholars from every religion.

Allah Almighty said: (O believers! Enter into Islam wholeheartedly and do not follow Satan’s footsteps. Surely he is your sworn enemy.) (Al-Baqarah: 208)
