The head of the World Union of Muslim Scholars has called for solidarity and support for the Turkish and Syrian people in the face of the humanitarian crises they are experiencing. Habib Salem Al-Jifri expressed his condolences to his brothers and sisters in Turkey and Syria, and thanked the Turkish government, its people, and its president for their support of the patient people in those devastated areas.
Al-Jifri emphasized the need for Muslims around the world to unite and fulfill their duty to support their needy brothers and sisters in Turkey and Syria, praying for their recovery and relief, and expressing his hope that Allah would make their dead among the martyrs. In conclusion, he called on Allah to unite the hearts of Muslims in love and solidarity and to unify their words in the face of those humanitarian crises, stressing that Muslims around the world must unite their efforts to provide support and assistance to their brothers and sisters in the region and be prepared to provide everything necessary to alleviate the suffering of families, children, and the elderly affected by natural disasters.
A delegation of senior scholars from the Union, led by Dr. Habib Al-Jifri and the Secretary-General of the Union, Dr. Ali Al-Qaradaghi, as well as members of the Board of Trustees, visited the affected areas and organized relief and charity campaigns to help alleviate the suffering of those affected by the tragic events and natural disasters.
