The International Union of Muslim Scholars strongly condemns and denounces the horrific massacre committed by the brutal Israeli occupation through its savage bombing of the "Al-Tabi'in" school in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, which was sheltering innocent displaced individuals during their dawn prayers.
This heinous crime, which resulted in the deaths of over 100 Palestinian martyrs and dozens of injured, represents a systematic targeting of innocent civilians engaged in a sacred act of worship. It reveals the extent to which this occupation has divested itself of all values of humanity and mercy, and its flagrant violation of the basic rights of lives and sanctities.
We consider this criminal attack a new chapter in the series of crimes perpetrated by the barbaric Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, who do not hesitate to destroy homes, demolish hospitals, and target holy sites.
We view the silence of the world and its inability to condemn and deter these vile acts as a shocking betrayal, and indeed a shameful complicity with the aggressor.
What is happening in Gaza, with its massacres and atrocities, is clear evidence of the tyranny of this brutal occupation that has spread corruption across the land and is perpetrating violence against the Palestinian people, who are defending their land, honor, and dignity.
In conclusion, history will not forgive this shameful silence from the international community, nor the betrayal and disgraceful normalization from some of our fellow Arabs and Muslims who have succumbed to the pressures of brute force.
Today, we stand in awe and respect for the heroic Palestinian people, who, with their steadfastness and diverse factions, confront the brutal Israeli occupation and those who stand behind it, challenging the might of military and economic power.
As Allah Almighty says: "And do not think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do; He only delays them for a Day when the eyes will stare in horror" [Ibrahim 42].
O Allah, have mercy on our martyrs, heal our wounded, grant victory to our people in Palestine, and keep them steadfast in the truth. Make us among those who cooperate in righteousness and piety, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
