President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars Receives
Delegation from the Women’s Activities Department – Qatar Branch in Doha
Doha –
The President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, His Eminence
Sheikh Prof. Dr. Ali Muhyi al-Din al-Qaradaghi, received this afternoon,
Saturday, April 11, at his office at the Union’s headquarters in the Qatari
capital, Doha, a delegation from the Women’s Activities Department of the Qatar
Branch, as part of efforts to strengthen institutional communication and
develop the Union’s da’wah (Islamic outreach) work.
The
delegation was headed by Dr. Hind Al-Hammadi and included several heads of
committees within the department, among them Dr. Fatima Azzam, Member of the
Board of Trustees of the International Union of Muslim Scholars.
During
the meeting, the President of the Union welcomed the delegation, praising the
efforts of the Women’s Activities Department and emphasizing the importance of
this role in serving the issues of the Muslim Ummah, particularly matters
related to the family, which represents a fundamental pillar of societal
development and requires the concerted efforts of both scholarly and da’wah
work.
He also
stressed the need to develop the mechanisms of da’wah and scholarly work,
adopting a flexible and dynamic approach that keeps pace with rapid changes,
thereby enhancing performance efficiency and strengthening the effectiveness of
initiatives, while adhering to the institutional frameworks governing the
Union’s work.
For her
part, the head of the delegation expressed her gratitude and appreciation for
the warm reception, reviewing key aspects of the restructuring of the Women’s
Activities Department and its future plans for development, foremost among them
the preparation of a comprehensive annual plan to enhance its presence and
impact.
The
meeting also discussed a number of issues related to activating and developing
the performance of the Women’s Activities Department, during which the
President of the Union provided a series of guidance and responses aimed at
supporting and advancing the course of work.
In
conclusion, the President of the Union called on the members of the department
to continue their efforts, wishing them success in carrying out their duties in
a way that serves the mission of the Union and enhances its impact on society.
