The IUMS Urges Official, Local, and International Institutions to Revitalize the AL-Quds Global Week

The International Union of Muslim Scholars has announced that it has sent letters to official bodies, ministries, and local and international institutions inviting them to join the "AL-Quds Global Week" initiative, which will take place from the 22nd to the 29th of Rajab al-Khair for the year 1444 AH, corresponding to 13-20 February 2023. The Union called on all Islamic institutions around the world to participate in this week with appropriate events in their countries, and to dedicate the upcoming Friday sermon on 17 February 2023 to support the cause of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa. The Union affirmed that defending Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa is a religious obligation and a humanitarian necessity, and that neglecting to defend them constitutes a great crime against us and future generations.

It should be noted that the "AL-Quds Global Week" is a global initiative aimed at commemorating the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi from the hands of the Crusaders and the anniversary of Isra and Mi'raj. It is organized in the last week of the month of Rajab each year, with various programs and events held in different countries to support Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa. The "AL-Quds Global Week" campaign has received a great response since its launch through social media platforms, and many local and international humanitarian organizations and associations have responded to this campaign
