IUMS extends its condolences on the death of the distinguished scholar Sheikh Al-Mulla Yahya Al-Janari, who passed away at the age of 78

With profound sorrow and grief, and hearts filled with acceptance of God's decree and predestination, we received the news of the passing of the distinguished scholar Sheikh Al-Mulla Yahya Al-Janari, at the age of 78, after a long battle with illness.

The deceased, may God have mercy on him, was born in 1945. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to preaching and teaching. He was one of the founders of the Islamic call in Eastern Anatolia, a teacher and an educator with profound investigations and excellent verifications. Hundreds of scholars, teachers, academics, and mosque imams were tutored and graduated under him.

The deceased - may God have mercy on him, had a long journey in the fields of knowledge, preaching, and jihad. He was known for his moderation, tolerance, and sincerity.

The Islamic nation has lost one of its sincere scholars. We ask Allah the Almighty to forgive him and bestow upon him a wide mercy, to admit him into Paradise, and to gather him with the prophets and the truthful ones, and what a good company they are. We also pray that God gives his family and loved ones patience and consolation. Indeed, He is the best of supporters and responders.

And to Allah we belong, and to Him is our return.
