The World Federation of Muslim Scholars Mourns the Passing of Syrian Scholar
The World Federation of Muslim Scholars expressed deep sorrow and condolences over the passing of the eminent Syrian scholar from Deir al-Zour, Sheikh Khalil bin Ibrahim Mala Khater Al-Azami, at the age of 84. Sheikh Al-Azami was a prominent figure in the study of prophetic traditions (Hadith) and a beacon of Shariah knowledge in Saudi Arabia. He authored numerous works and served as an advisor to the founding committee for Scientific Miracles in the Muslim World League.
The Muslim Ummah has indeed lost a dedicated scholar, a revered sheikh, and a distinguished hadith scholar. We pray to Almighty Allah to bestow upon him His vast mercy, admit him to the gardens of paradise, and let him be in the company of the prophets and the righteous. May he be granted a gracious companionship. We also pray that Allah grants patience and solace to his family and loved ones.
"Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return."
