Al-Raisuni calls for allocating Zakat funds to support Jihad and Mujahideen in Palestine

Commenting on the developments between the Palestinian resistance factions and Israel since dawn on Saturday, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Raisuni, the former president of the International Union for Muslim Scholars, said, "Jihad has gathered all reasons and inspirations, and all hesitations and reservations have disappeared in it, and all excuses and doubts have fallen."

In an article titled "The Battle of Palestine and Al-Aqsa.. The Noblest and Cleanest Jihad", Al-Raisuni confirmed that siding with the oppressed is legitimate and necessary for the benefit of the oppressed, humanity, and religions in general. He considered that "this is the Jihad practiced today in Palestine, and it is in favor of all Muslims and humanity at large."

Supporting Jihad and Mujahideen

When it's challenging for Muslims to reach Palestine to participate in this obligatory duty, Al-Raisuni encourages contributing in any possible way and participating in this Jihad, which remains essential until Palestine is liberated and Al-Aqsa Mosque returns to its people.

Al-Raisuni added that we could allocate a portion of our money, income, and Zakat to support the Jihad, Mujahideen, steadfast defenders, and their families, descendants, and the Palestinian people in general.

Finally, he pointed out that we can mobilize our communities and those we deal with to raise awareness, support, and solidarity by all means possible.

International Union of Muslim Scholars

The International Union for Muslim Scholars, in a statement, urged the Islamic Ummah to defend Gaza and prevent a genocide war.

The Union emphasized that supporting Muslims, especially protecting the oppressed, is a mandatory duty that cannot be compromised. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said: "He who forsakes a Muslim when his sanctity is violated and his honor is attacked will be forsaken by Allah in a situation where he wishes to be helped, and he who helps a Muslim in a situation where his honor is attacked and his sanctity is violated will be helped by Allah in a situation where he wishes to be helped." Narrated by Abu Dawood (4884) and Ahmad (16368).

It continued, "God is the greatest, and victory is ours. Allah says: 'Indeed, Allah will support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.' (Surah Al-Hajj: 40)."
