Allah, the Almighty, said in Surah Al-Fajr (27-30): "O soul at peace, return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing, and enter among My servants, and enter My Paradise."
We have received with hearts filled with contentment with the decree of Allah and His destiny the news of the passing of Sheikh Dr. Saad Ahmed Saad, the Secretary-General of the Sudanese Scholars' Association.
The deceased, may Allah have mercy upon him, was one of the founders of the Sudanese Scholars' Association, which is a founding member of the World Union of Muslim Scholars. He dedicated his life to serving and promoting Islamic values and cultural exchange among Muslims. He was one of the leading scholarly figures who made significant contributions to the advancement of Islamic knowledge and thought in his country.
His Works
The late Sheikh Saad, may Allah have mercy upon him, authored numerous books, more than twenty titles, which enriched the Islamic library. His substantial contributions greatly enhanced the Islamic scholarly heritage.
His Activism and Advocacy
Sheikh Saad, may Allah have mercy upon him, was active in public service. He participated in the establishment of the Islamic Constitution Front and was an active member of various Islamic forums. He represented Sudan in several international conferences.
The Islamic Ummah has lost a devoted and honorable mujahid (struggler) and scholar. We ask Allah, the Almighty, to forgive him, bestow His wide mercy upon him, pardon his sins, honor his abode, admit him to the highest level of Paradise, gather him with the prophets and the righteous, and grant his family, loved ones, colleagues, and friends patience and solace. Surely, He is the Bestower and the Most Responsive.
"Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un."
