Key Meeting at the Global Islamic Economy Forum: President of International Union of Muslim Scholars Meets Malaysian Prime Minister

In a significant event within the activities of the Global Islamic Economy Forum, held over two days from May 28 to 29, 2024, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Ali Al-Qaradaghi, President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, attended the forum's opening session where he met with the Malaysian Prime Minister, Mr. Anwar Ibrahim.

At the beginning of the session, the Malaysian Prime Minister warmly welcomed His Eminence Sheikh Al-Qaradaghi, expressing his deep appreciation for his participation. In turn, Dr. Al-Qaradaghi extended his sincere thanks for the warm reception, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between scholars and decision-makers in promoting the global Islamic economy.

The Global Islamic Economy Forum is held annually and is considered a leading platform that brings together scholars, economic experts, and decision-makers from various parts of the Islamic world. The forum aims to enhance economic cooperation among Islamic countries, encourage investments, and foster innovations in the field of Islamic economics. Participants in the forum discuss a variety of topics, including Islamic finance, trade, sustainable development, technological innovation, and how to adapt these topics to Islamic principles.

It is worth noting that His Eminence Sheikh Al-Qaradaghi is in Malaysia at the invitation of the Central Bank of Malaysia, where he will conduct a two-day training course for the central bank's employees. This course aims to enhance their capabilities and understanding of Islamic finance and its mechanisms.
