Al-Aqsa Mosque Preacher: Palestinians Stand Firm and Will Not Be Intimidated by Pressure or Displacement Plans
The Chairman of the Supreme Islamic Council in Jerusalem, Preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and Member of the Board of Trustees of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, reaffirmed that Palestinians are steadfast in their land and will not be moved regardless of the cost.
Speaking at Zaytuna University in Tunis on Wednesday, Sheikh Sabri emphasized that Palestinians have consistently rejected displacement efforts over the decades and will continue to hold onto their land despite all pressures and challenges.
He also stressed the importance of neighboring Arab states maintaining their stance against the forced displacement of Palestinians and resisting American pressure on this issue.
U.S. Statements and Continued Aggression
His remarks come in response to recent statements by U.S. President Donald Trump, who declared that the United States will "take control of and own" the Gaza Strip during a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.
Meanwhile, Washington continues to support Israeli aggression against Gaza, backing a 16-month-long campaign of genocide and ethnic cleansing carried out by the Israeli occupation since October 7, 2023. This ongoing assault has resulted in over 159,000 Palestinian casualties, most of whom are children and women, in addition to more than 14,000 missing persons.
