Sheikh Al-Qaradaghi Calls for Building an Islamic Center and Hospital in the Turkish Earthquake Zone

During his visit to Turkey to offer condolences to the victims of the earthquake that hit Turkey and the Black Sea region, Sheikh Al-Qaradaghi, the Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, called for the building of an Islamic center and hospital in the earthquake zone.

Sheikh Al-Qaradaghi emphasized that the Islamic center and hospital would be crucial in the area, providing medical care for the wounded and support for the affected individuals.

He also acknowledged the significant role played by the Turkish Islamic Jurisdiction in responding quickly to help those affected by the earthquake. He praised the serious and humanitarian efforts made by the relevant authorities in Turkey to manage this disaster, as well as the efforts of the government in dealing with this crisis.

It is worth mentioning that the earthquake that hit the Black Sea region of Turkey and Syria, with a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale, resulted in the deaths of many people, thousands of injuries, and significant material losses, with the death toll exceeding 50,000 in both Turkey and Syria. This earthquake has become one of the deadliest natural disasters in the history of the region.
