On behalf of the al-Qaradawi family, Professor Dr. Mohammed al-Qaradawi presented Sheikh Dr. Ali al-Qaradaghi with a copy of "The Complete Works Encyclopedia of Imam al-Qaradawi." The presentation took place at Sheikh Dr. Ali al-Qaradaghi's office in the Qatari capital of Doha. Along with the encyclopedia, a heartfelt message of gratitude was conveyed. Professor Dr. Mohammed al-Qaradawi expressed that his late father, may Allah have mercy on him, had entrusted them with the ongoing connection and communication with Sheikh Dr. Ali al-Qaradaghi, emphasizing the significance of their relationship as custodians of the esteemed legacy of the late Imam al-Qaradawi.
"The Complete Works Encyclopedia of Imam al-Qaradawi" is a comprehensive compilation of the late Imam's writings, fatwas, scholarly lectures, and sermons. It spans an impressive 105 volumes, encompassing various branches of Islamic sciences. The encyclopedia serves as a valuable addition to the promotion of renewal and moderation within the Islamic faith. It highlights the tolerant aspects of Islam while firmly rejecting individual biases, group extremism, and the misguided practices of extremists.
During their meeting, they discussed the remarkable achievements and profound impact of the late Imam al-Qaradawi. The preservation of his intellectual and ideological legacy was a key topic of conversation, along with strategies to disseminate the encyclopedia more widely and increase its accessibility. The aim was to ensure its availability to a broad audience and enhance its role in guiding Muslims worldwide.
In a recorded statement, Sheikh Dr. Ali al-Qaradaghi expressed his immense joy and satisfaction upon receiving "The Complete Works Encyclopedia of Imam al-Qaradawi." He fervently prayed to the Almighty, beseeching His mercy and forgiveness for the late Sheikh al-Qaradawi, and asking that he be granted the highest station in Paradise, alongside the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family. Sheikh al-Qaradaghi extended his heartfelt appreciation and blessings to Dr. Mohammed al-Qaradawi and his siblings, the al-Qaradawi family, wishing them abundant blessings, good health, well-being, success, and divine guidance. Additionally, he conveyed his gratitude and commendation to the esteemed State of Qatar.
Sheikh Dr. Ali al-Qaradaghi expressed his sincere thanks and deep appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, for his unwavering support of knowledge and scholars. He also expressed gratitude to the late Amir, who had demonstrated a keen interest in knowledge and generously hosted the presentation of this remarkable encyclopedia. Sheikh al-Qaradaghi beseeched Allah to shower them all with His blessings and prayed for the success, guidance, and prosperity of the righteous Qatari government in their noble mission of serving the Qatari people and the entire Islamic Ummah.
The late Sheikh al-Qaradawi, may Allah have mercy on him, was a distinguished scholar and preacher and the founder of the International Union of Muslim Scholars. His profound cultural and religious legacy remains a testament to his contributions. The Qaradawi Office, in collaboration with the disciples and admirers of Sheikh al-Qaradawi, works diligently to preserve and disseminate his legacy to future generations.
Sheikh al-Qaradaghi, who had spent nearly forty years alongside the late Imam al-Qaradawi in various educational institutions, colleges, centers, financial institutions, and jurisprudential associations, has actively participated in the activities of the Muslim World League since 1395 AH (1975 CE).
