Qaradawi and a number of personalities receive hundreds of mourners in the death of the Egyptian scholar and physician, Dr. Mohamed El-Gawady.

Sheikh Dr. Ali Al-Qaradawi, the Secretary-General of the Union, recently received hundreds of mourners, accompanied by several notable figures, who came to offer their condolences on the passing of the esteemed Egyptian scholar and physician, Dr. Mohamed El-Gawady. Dr. El-Gawady, who succumbed to illness at the age of 65 in the Qatari capital of Doha, was mourned by people from various walks of life.

During the gathering, Sheikh Al-Qaradawi delivered a heartfelt speech, reminding everyone that death is merely a transitional phase in life and emphasizing the belief in the eventual reunion with the departed in the realms of dreams and the hereafter, through the mercy of God.

Sheikh Al-Qaradawi expressed his sincere hopes of meeting the deceased in the divine presence of the Almighty, under His benevolent throne, and in the highest abode of paradise.

He lauded the late Dr. El-Gawady, describing him as a devoted thinker, a committed scholar, and a passionate advocate for the progress of the nation. The Sheikh commended Dr. El-Gawady's immense contributions to various fields of the humanities, recognizing his exceptional efforts, noble character, and significant scholarly achievements.

The International Union of Muslim Scholars also released a statement mourning the loss of Dr. El-Gawady, expressing their heartfelt condolences. They acknowledged his impactful role as an academic, physician, historian, and writer, underscoring his dedication to knowledge and his valuable contributions to society. Dr. El-Gawady's passing garnered significant attention in Egypt, with his name trending on social media platforms and prominent personalities expressing their deep sorrow and commemorating his legacy.
