Al-Qaradaghi Calls for Urgent Action to Save Gaza and Comprehensive Boycott to Pressure Occupation

In a powerful tweet, Sheikh Dr. Ali Al-Qaradaghi, President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, called upon the Islamic and Arab nations for immediate action to rescue Gaza from the severe military escalation affecting large areas, particularly in the northern part of the strip.

Al-Qaradaghi urged, “To my Ummah... Save Jabalia... Save Gaza... Move, my Ummah! How long will you wait?” advocating for the mobilization of armies and a complete boycott of fuel and gas supplies to pressure Israel into halting the genocide. He emphasized the need for a serious stance and real action from everyone, given the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Al-Qaradaghi’s appeal comes amidst unprecedented Israeli bombardments on northern Gaza since October 5, causing hospitals to cease operations, disabling civil defense services, and isolating the area completely from the world after communications and internet were cut off on October 18.

The bombings have led to the death of over a thousand Palestinians and displaced thousands more, with severe shortages of food, medicine, and water.

Since the war began on October 7, estimates indicate over 144,000 Palestinians have been killed or injured, most of them women and children, amid widespread destruction and an acute famine threatening the lives of children and the elderly in what has become one of the worst humanitarian disasters.
