The 13th Kuwait International Quran Recitation and Memorization Competition Launches with 127 Contestants from 75 Countries

Today, Wednesday, November 13, Kuwait proudly launches the 13th annual Kuwait International Prize for Quran Recitation and Memorization, featuring 127 contestants from 75 countries worldwide.

This prestigious award is among the most prominent global initiatives dedicated to the Quran, fostering a strong, supportive environment for Quranic memorization, recitation, and appreciation of Islamic values. This prize, part of Kuwait’s ongoing commitment to serving the Quran, aims to achieve several objectives. It encourages participants of all ages to engage with the Quran through recitation, memorization, and reflection while supporting institutions devoted to Quranic education. Additionally, it seeks to strengthen collaboration between public and private organizations involved in Quranic activities.

The competition also strives to identify and nurture a new generation of skilled Quran reciters and memorizers who will represent Kuwait at international events, underscoring the country’s dedication to promoting Quranic excellence on the global stage.

The prize comprises five main categories: full Quran memorization, memorization with ten authenticated recitations, recitation and intonation, memorization for younger participants, and an award for the best technological project serving the Quran.

A themed exhibition, “Recite as You Have Been Taught,” is also being held alongside the event, showcasing various Quran memorization methods, the evolution of Quranic teaching curricula, and the historical dedication of Muslims to preserving the Quran.
