Turkish Religious Affairs President Calls for Islamic Unity to End Israeli Occupation in Palestine
The President of Turkish Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş, has emphasized the importance of Islamic unity and joint action in confronting the Israeli occupation, stressing the need to continue the struggle with a firm and unified stance until the full withdrawal of the occupation from Palestine.
His remarks came during his speech at the "Conference in Support of Al-Aqsa Mosque", held on Monday evening with the participation of a distinguished group of scholars, preachers, and intellectuals, organized by the International Union of Muslim Scholars.
Dr. Erbaş pointed to a "deviant belief" behind Israel's brutal practices in Palestine, stating:
"According to this belief, Zionists see themselves as masters of the world and consider the land as their private property, turning Palestine into a sea of blood to fulfill these illusions."
He also criticized some global leaders who support these policies, arguing that they belong to "the same myth".
The Turkish Religious Affairs President urged Muslims to act in unity based on the teachings of Islam, highlighting the need to develop a shared awareness to confront injustice.
He further emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the Jerusalem and Gaza cause and accelerating efforts to unite the Islamic ranks.
Dr. Erbaş concluded:
"We must unite our hearts, strength, and resources for Jerusalem, Gaza, and Palestine. We must continue the joint struggle until the occupation is completely ended. There is no other way to end oppression except through unity and solidarity."
